Lahir Minggu, 06 Oktober 1940 di Jakarta. Pendidikan : SLA. Pertama kali mengenal kamera ketika bekerja di studio Olympiad Film. Setiap sore di luar jam kerja dimanfaatkan untuk menambah pengetahuan di bawah bimbingan Liaw Kwan Hin (L.K. Hasanudin), pemilik Olympiad Film. Tahun I964 Liaw pindah ke Hongkong dan dengan sendirinya studionya ditu- tup. Sejak itu Harry belajar sendiri. Memulai di film sebagai Pembantu Juru Kamera dan sesekali jadi Editor. Menjadi Juru Kamera penuh dalam film "Gugur Bunga Kembali Semi" (1964). Sesudah itu, puluhan film yang sudah diselesaikannya, antara lain :"Dibalik Pintu Dosa" (1970), "Perawan Malam" (1974), "Setulus Hatimu" (1975), "Perawan Desa" (78), "Benci Tapi Rindu" (79).
